Principal's Message

It is with great pride and honour that I welcome you to Wajir High School, one of North Eastern Kenya's most distinguished institutions of learning. Since our establishment in 1965, the school has upheld a tradition of excellence in academics, character formation, and co-curricular achievement — nurturing generations of confident young men who have gone on to serve their families, their communities, and their nation.

As Principal, my vision is to ensure that Wajir High remains a centre of holistic education, where intellectual curiosity, moral integrity, resilience, and discipline are nurtured in equal measure. Guided by our motto, "Strive to Excel," we work tirelessly to instil in our learners the values, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Through dedicated teaching, our government-supported ICT Hub, and a vibrant co-curricular programme, we have steadily raised our KCSE mean score from D+ to C+, with nearly half of our graduates now proceeding to university each year. Our sportsmen are sub-county champions in both football and basketball, and our clubs and societies continue to shape principled, capable leaders.
